Sarah and Stuart's Wedding - Matara, Gloucestershire

When the brides dress has pockets, it snows during the outdoor ceremony, and the Best Man's speech includes the line "I've had a revolving door of women over the years", you know you've been to a great wedding!

True, the temperature never got above -1 all day (and it was March), but this wedding was magic. Sarah and her squad got ready in the beautiful Cotswold village of Tetbury, Gloucestershire. You can see for yourself she looked stunning, but the reaction of her friends the first time they saw her dressed was really special.

The wedding ceremony took place at Matara, Gloucestershire - wow, what a place. As tiny flakes of snow fell, guests were seated around the pond of the outdoor courtyard, and Sarah made her entrance through the beautiful gardens. After Sarah and Stuart said I do, we headed inside to warm up and took some lovely family photographs in front of Matara's stunning indoor botanical backdrop which has the most amazing natural light - such a winning feature against unpredicable British weather!

I thought Sarah and Stuart may just want to stay indoors from that point and enjoy Matara's other magical indoor rooms, but they were totally keen to venture out and I'm really glad we did, albeit for not too long. It was then time for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations against Matara's twinkling light background, so special. And that brass band though! One of the best wedding bands I've ever heard. I loved everything about this wedding, and hope to be back at Matara, Gloucestershire very soon. Thanks to Sarah and Stuart for inviting me in and choosing me to be their wedding photographer - I wish them every joy and happiness for the future.
