It's a special moment when a dear friend, someone you've been on quite a journey with, realises their dream and takes their wedding business to the next level. My super talented friend Jodi has been making brides, bridesmaids and bridal parties look wedding perfect with her incredible hair and make-up skills for years, all over Gloucestershire.

But during our collective years of experience, we've both met brides who've wanted that perfect somewhere to get ready before their wedding. Of course, getting ready at home is what some people love, but for others, the thought of having to tidy up, and having strangers trapsing around your house on your big day is not on the plan.

If instead you fancy setting up camp for the morning in an uber glamourous setting with tons of space, mirrors everywhere, nail bars, dress hanging areas, and an inhouse hair salon? Oh, and not to mention a massive fridge for the initial supply of prosecco? Then you need to see this place!

Jodi has teamed up with fellow equally talented and lovely hair and MUA Sandie (of Sandra Elizabeth Hair and Make-up) to bring The Bridal Prep Rooms to life. Knowing Jodi, I knew it would be super stylish and classy, but it's also way bigger than I expected. Plenty of seating and chilling areas alongside the glamming up zones, the whole place just has a great vibe to it.

Now, here's an important bit. As a wedding photographer, bridal prep is one of my favourite parts of the day to photograph. the excitement, the anticipation. Seeing the bride become a bride. But sometimes lighting can be tough, space can be limited, backdrops can be a little cluttered (it's a wedding day, so its ok, I don't judge!). Here though, every nook is totally insta-worthy. The lighting is perfect. The space is plentiful. Everything has been designed to make the perfect backdrop for wedding photography.
